Mike & I enjoying our reading glasses together.

It all started for me about 5 years ago. I noticed that words appeared blurred when reading books, newspapers, etc. I fought and resisted for another year or so, but I came to the place where I needed help. At first I was embarrassed to admit I needed them. But after trying on a pair and seeing how much better my vision was, I was hooked! For my dear hubby Mike, his time came about a year ago. He too was in denial for awhile. But once you see how good you can see with them, you get hooked! Now that we’re well into our 40’s, reading glasses have become a constant companion. I’m always looking for bargains on them and even gave one to Mike as a stocking stuffer at Christmas. We keep them everywhere…purse, bedside, kitchen, family room, work.  We never can have enough of those reading glasses! Will we ever overcome this addiction?  I’m afraid it will only get worse as we enter the 50’s and beyond!   Someday, I’m looking forward to really being able to “see”.  I Corinthians 13:12 says, “For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face….”  Someday I’m gonna see Jesus face-to-face, and then I will really be seeing!
