Life is made up of moments…segments of time in which a series of events take place. Most of us can look back on our lives and recall episodes that we’ve experienced which forever changed us. I call these defining moments. Giving birth to our son Jeremy was one of those moments for me. I took one look at our tiny newborn son, and it was love at first sight. I would never be the same again.
Some 2,000 years ago, a moment like no other occurred. In a lowly manger in Bethlehem, a young virgin gave birth to a tiny babe who would forever change history. God had become like one of us. Divinity had arrived. When I think of the humble beginnings of our Savior as a helpless baby lying in a bed of hay, and about the glory song sung by multitudes of angels, my heart is stirred.
What can I give to the One to whom all things belong? There is only one gift I could give — all of my moments, my unfailing love, unwavering loyalty and unending praise! I want to remain by the manger long enough for all my foolish pride to expire, my vanity to disappear and my values to align with God’s. My moments belong to Him.

Made me smile. Thanks.
I’m so thankful for that moment in time when God came to earth as the babe in the manger. What a wonderful Saviour we have, and what a blessing it is to know the true meaning of Christmas!
